Eaton Automatic Transfer Switch

The Eaton Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) is engineered to efficiently and dependably switch between the generator or alternate power source and the selected power source for important loads. It works best in NFPA 70 emergency situations, as well as in legally mandated, optional standby and essential operations systems that require dependable performance.

Features of Eaton Automatic Transfer Switch

  • Accessible in three transition types: closed, open in-phase, and open delayed.
  • Both automated and manual modes of operation have a double-throw, interlocked power switch powered by a sturdy solenoid operating mechanism.
  • Eaton’s Arcflash Reduction Maintenance System offers a service entry-rated option to lower incident energy levels for downstream equipment during maintenance intervals.
  • Types of enclosures: indoor and outdoor
  • Seismic-approved integrated Cam-Lok receptacle power panel, listed to UL 1008 and CSA 22.2 No. 178, that doubles as a docking station for an instantaneous connection of a portable or temporary generator

Applications of Eaton Automatic Transfer Switch

  • Construction of contactors and circuit breakers
  • Transition switching between open (time-delayed, in-phase, load voltage decay) and closed
  • Isolation bypass functionality
  • Remote annunciator and controller for automatic transfer switches (ATS) built-in overcurrent defense
