ABB Insulation Monitoring Relay

ABB Insulation Monitoring Relay ISL-A 600 is designed for industrial IT networks operating at 500 Vdc. It continuously monitors the network’s insulation resistance to detect potential ground faults. Unlike grounded systems, earth faults in IT networks don’t necessarily require immediate supply interruption. However, regular monitoring remains crucial to ensure optimal system performance.

The ISL-A 600 measures the potential difference between two polarities relative to the ground. It uses the monitored network as its auxiliary power supply and offers flexible settings for alarm thresholds. The device provides visual indicators for power status, faults, and line polarity. It also includes a relay output for remote control and can be configured for fail-safe operation.
