Feature of AFR3-08 Arc Fault Protection

  • Arc fault detection and location: When an arc fault occurs, the AFR3-08 Arc Fault Protection relay can quickly capture the optical signal from the fiber optic sensor and accurately determine the location of the fault, with a location accuracy of up to the compartment level.
  • Data storage and display: The relay stores and displays the detected arc fault data, providing a basis for subsequent analysis and troubleshooting.

How does AFR3-08 Arc Fault Protection work?

The AFR3-08 Arc Fault Protection relay uses fiber optic sensors to monitor the electromagnetic environment in the switch cabinet in real-time. Once an arc fault occurs, the sensor will generate a specific optical signal. After receiving the signal, DUGA-O processes it internally to determine the fault location and trigger corresponding protection measures.
