Feature of Iris power partial discharge monitoring PDTRACII 4208

Acquisition
The best results are obtained when Iris Power 80pF Epoxy Mica Capacitors (EMC) are permanently fitted. The remote inputs have eight analog points that are proportionate to the operational circumstances of the equipment, such as temperature, voltage, current, or power. These parameters are noted for analysis and trending purposes.

Data Analysis
Superior automatic noise separation technology, based on filtering and pulse shape analysis, is used by the PDTracII 4208 to accurately separate electrical interference (noise) from partial discharges, hence preventing false alarms. When a PD warning occurs, users can verify the reason for the alarm by looking at the pulse height analysis plots and the 24-window phase resolved PD plots using simple interpretation.

Communication
The PDTracII 4208 can be used as a “stand-alone” system that merely downloads partial discharge data from the past regularly, or it can be networked into the plant control system via USB, Ethernet, or Modbus to enable remote data collecting and analysis. An indicator of high partial discharge alarm circumstances can be triggered remotely by an alert output that makes use of a specific relay. A plant monitoring system may also be linked to the alert output.
