Features of AFR3-04 Arc Flash Detection Relay
- Three arc sensors – according to the number of possible closed volumes of the KRU, KRUN, or KSO cell.
- The optical system of the device allows you to fix the moment of occurrence of an electric arc and is practically insensitive to other light sources (flashlight, incandescent, fluorescent, direct sunlight, etc.).
- The device protects against false alarms, for example, in the event of high-power impulse electromagnetic interference.
- The device provides maximum speed from the moment the arc occurs to the operation of the output relays – no more than 10 ms.
- The device uses the “Failure” output signaling, implemented on a relay with normally closed contacts and relay operation in the presence of an operating voltage (power supply), as well as in the normal operation (integrity) of the arc sensors. In case of violation of the integrity of the arc sensor, a “FAIL” signal is issued. The performance of the device channels is not violated.
- The device can be used with three, two and one arc sensors without violating the logic of operation. It is also possible to install two or three arc sensors in one compartment for greater reliability.
- The device has LEDs to indicate both normal operation and the fact of operation (blinker LEDs) of each of the device channels, with memory until reset. The Reset button is provided on the front panel of the device to reset the Operate output relay and blinker LEDs.
